Are you looking for a powerful, simple breakfast?

Start Your Day Right!


Eggs are the champions of detox meals! They are high in sulfur, have a complete amino acid profile and they pretty much contain every nutrient including choline, which is really good for the liver and fatty liver.  For best results, cook your eggs with onions and garlic for an extra boost of sulfur and a boost of antioxidants. Sprinkle some sea salt for added minerals.


Add Cruciferous Veggies.


Next up, load your plate with cruciferous vegetables like Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, or sauerkraut. The bitterness of these veggies is a amazing for your liver's health.


For salads, rocket (arugula) stands out as the top green choice due to its cruciferous nature.


Finish with a Nourishing Dessert.

Cap off your meal with kefir or plain Greek yogurt paired with walnuts. It is important to ensure you're getting enough protein with complete amino acids to support your body's detox efforts.


Add Herbs!

Add herbs like turmeric, rosemary, thyme, and a dash of cayenne pepper for an extra flavor punch and added health benefits.

Recipe!

Ingredients:


  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 onion, diced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Assorted cruciferous vegetables (e.g., Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, rocket.
  • Sea salt, to taste
  • Optional: turmeric, rosemary, thyme, cayenne pepper


Instructions:


1. Prepare the eggs:


  • In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the diced onion and minced garlic until softened.
  • Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook to your desired consistency. Don't over cook them.
  • Season with a pinch of sea salt for added minerals.


2. Add cruciferous veggies:


  • Steam or lightly sauté your choice of cruciferous vegetables until tender yet crisp. You can mix and match or choose your favorite.
  • Serve alongside the eggs for a nutrient-packed meal. Remember, the more bitter, the better for your liver!


3. Create a Rocket Salad: (optional).


  • Wash and dry the rocket leaves thoroughly.
  • Arrange a bed of rocket on a plate and drizzle with a light dressing of olive oil and lemon juice, if desired.


4. Boost with herbs (optional):

  • If desired, sprinkle some turmeric, rosemary, thyme, or a dash of cayenne pepper over your eggs or vegetables for additional flavour and health benefits.


5. Serve and Enjoy:

  • Plate your detoxifying breakfast spread and savor each bite mindfully, knowing you're fueling your body with the nutrients it needs to thrive.


4. Enjoy a nourishing dessert:


  • Finish off your meal with a serving of kefir, a fermented dairy product known for its probiotic benefits or plain Greek Yoghurt.
  • Top the kefir or yoghurt with a handful of walnuts for added crunch and omega-3 fatty acids.
